Java Version
To run the MVO.jar
you need Java 1.5. Check your java version:
On Windows:

Click "Start".

Click "Run".

Write "cmd" (without the ":s!)

Press Enter.

You are now at the command line or "shell", the
"pre-windows" facility to control the PC.

Write "java -version" and press enter.
This instructs the java.exe executable to tell you about its version.
The shell should print this info on screen.
On Apple:
To check your java version, do something similar, find a command line
and write "java -version".
Update your java version
at
www.java.com.
Apple users:
If you run Mac OS X 10.4 or later you can
download Java 2 SE 5.0 Release 1 from Apple.
Java 5.0 is the marketing name for java version 1.5.x.
Installing
Unpack the .zip-file
in any empty directory. Double-click MVO.jar. This should start the program
if you have the proper java version installed.
If the program does not start and you are uncertain why,

Open a command line (se above) and maneuver to the MVO
directory.
Use "cd", "..", "\" and <tab> to change directory.
cd .. + <enter> will take you to the parent directory,
cd ..\.. + <enter> will take you to the grandparent directory
"dir" to list the contents of a directory.

Write java -jar MVO.jar and press <enter>
The command shell will either launch the program or tell you why it cannot
do so.
