Morphing In computer graphics the term morphing denotes the gradual transition from one predefined shape, the morph source, to another, the morph target. Here are a few links on graphics morphing:
Stanford computer graphics laboratory, Volume morphing.
Music
morphing is morphing music instead of graphics. We also allow the number of
morph sources/targets to be set by the user.
Some other attempts has been made at music morphing.
Papers Interactive narratives like computer games pose
specific problems for the musician since they involve non-deterministic
storytelling. Using the terminology of the theatre we conclude
a number of requirements
that
must be met in order to generate responsive
music: The orchestra
need
a clear view of the stage.
